DULANEY’S DANIELLE PARKER TO PLAY FOR DELAWARE

The 6-foot-2 guard-foward is “one of the best in the state,” according to her coach, Richard Welsh.

Dulaney’s Danielle Parker, a 6-foot-2 forward who led the Lions to Baltimore County titles in basketball and volleyball after transferring from St. Frances of Baltimore City, has committed to play basketball at the University of Delaware, her coach, Richard Welsh, told DigitalSports on Tuesday night.

Parker, an excellent student, led the Lions to a 20-0 record last season before losing in the Class 4A state semifinals to visiting Blake High of Olney in Montgomery County.

Welsh calls Parker, a first-team All-Baltimore County selection, the “best player in the county, one of the best in the state
and highly recruited by many major D-I programs.”

 Parker and the Lions’ volleyball team play host to Towson on Wednesday afternoon in defense of their county title in the championship game.
