Dulaney has No. 1 seed for 4A North Region playoffs; Perry Hall and Catonsville gain No. 2 seeds

Dulaney High School has captured a top seed for the state regional volleyball tournament which starts Friday. The Lions, who will host Towson for the Baltimore County championship, Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m., is No. 1 in the Class 4A North Region and will host Parkville or C. Milton Wright in a quarterfinal game Monday. Parkville will host C. Milton Wright in an opening round match Friday.
In the other 4A North quarterfinals Monday, No. 2 seed Perry Hall will host either Thomas Johnson or Southwestern, and No. 3 Kenwood plays either Woodlawn or Walbrook. Woodlawn hosts Walbrook in Friday’s opener. In 3A North, Catonsville is seeded second and will host either Milford Mill or Lake Clifton in Monday’s quarterfinals. Milford Mill hosts Lake Clifton in an opening round match Friday. Other 3A North openers Friday will feature No. 9 Patapsco hosting Patterson with winner playing at No. 1 Mervo Monday, and Western visiting No. 6 Dundalk with winner advancing to No. 3 Franklin. No. 4 Hereford hosts No. 5 Towson in a quarterfinal Monday. Loch Raven will look to continue its reign in 2A North. The Raiders, seeded fourth will host Samuel Banks in Monday’s quarterfinals while No. 6 Eastern Tech will be at Edmondson. Loch Raven has won six consecutive region crowns. In 2A North opening round action Friday, Overlea is at Northwestern with the winner advancing to top-seeded Poly Monday, and Lansdowne hosts Douglass.
